Welcome to e.p.m.d contracting. By using our website, requesting a quote, or hiring us for a project, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms help ensure clear communication and a dependable working relationship.

1. About e.p.m.d contracting
e.p.m.d contracting is a family-owned, licensed, and insured contracting business serving New Castle County, Delaware. These terms apply to the use of our website, communication with us, and all services we provide.

2. Estimates & Quotes

  • All estimates are free unless stated otherwise.

  • Estimates are based on information available at the time of inspection.

  • Hidden issues (structural, plumbing, electrical, water damage, etc.) may require updated pricing.

  • Clients will be notified of any changes before additional work begins.

  • Estimates are valid for 30 days.

3. Scheduling & Appointments

  • Appointment times may vary based on weather, project progress, and availability.

  • Any scheduling changes will be communicated as soon as possible.

  • For interior projects, someone 18+ must be present unless approved otherwise.

  • Project start dates may shift due to materials, subcontractors, or unforeseen conditions.

4. Deposits & Payments

  • Some projects may require a deposit to secure materials and schedule work.

  • The remaining balance is due upon project completion unless otherwise stated.

  • Accepted payment methods: cash, check, or approved electronic payments.

  • Failure to pay within the agreed timeline may result in late fees or collection activity.

5. Scope of Work (Change Orders)
If additional work is requested or required after the project begins:

  • A revised estimate or change order will be provided.

  • No additional work will begin without approval.

  • Changes may impact the project timeline and cost.

6. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate project information.

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.

  • Remove valuables or breakable items from workspaces.

  • Inform us of known hazards such as pests, wiring issues, or leaks.

  • Communicate promptly if questions or concerns arise.

7. Contractor Responsibilities
e.p.m.d contracting agrees to:

  • Perform work to professional standards.

  • Maintain a respectful and organized jobsite.

  • Communicate clearly before, during, and after the project.

  • Use the materials agreed upon in the estimate.

  • Notify clients of issues that may affect cost or timeline.

  • Treat your home with care and respect.

8. Workmanship Warranty

  • A limited workmanship warranty applies to most projects.

  • Warranty details vary by project and will be provided in writing.

  • Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, weather-related damage, or lack of maintenance.

  • Manufacturer warranties on materials may apply separately.

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • For large projects, cancellations after materials are purchased may result in loss of deposit.

10. Subcontractors & Specialists
For certain tasks (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.), we may work with licensed specialty contractors. Only trusted professionals are used. e.p.m.d contracting is not responsible for subcontractor workmanship unless stated in writing.

11. Use of Photos & Project Documentation
We may take before-and-after photos or videos of your project for our website, portfolio, and marketing materials.
If you prefer not to have photos of your project used publicly, please notify us in writing.

12. Website Use
By using our website, you agree not to:

  • Upload malicious code

  • Attempt unauthorized access

  • Copy or misuse website content

  • Use the site for fraudulent or illegal activity

All website content is owned by e.p.m.d contracting.

13. Limitation of Liability
e.p.m.d contracting is not liable for:

  • Delays caused by weather, supply issues, or circumstances beyond our control

  • Hidden pre-existing conditions uncovered during work

  • Damage caused by misuse or failure to maintain the work after completion

  • Issues outside of our control

We will always communicate openly and honestly if challenges arise.

14. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted with a new date.
